UK-based National Student Esports (NSE) and HoYoverse (a subsidiary of Genshin Impact maker miHoYo Co., Ltd.) announced this week that they have renewed their partnership for an additional year.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Under the terms of this new partnership NSE will be able to utilize the open-world action RPG Genshin Impact to run challenges, activities, and events during 2023/24 academic year. In addition, NSE will enable partners to run “their own Genshin Impact events, supported by NSE and HoYoverse.”

NSE, which runs the British University Esports Championship, works with esports and gaming student clubs across the United Kingdom and is the “official body of university esports” through a partnership with British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS),  the national governing body of university sport in the UK.

In addition to Genshin Impact, NSE works with publishers and developers to offer students competitions in Teamfight Tactics, Rocket League, League of Legends, Overwatch 2, Rainbow Six Siege, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO), and Dota 2. It also has partnerships with Intel, Monster Energy, Pringles, and DrayTek.
