Berlin International Gaming and SoftwareOne team up

Germany-based esports organization Berlin International Gaming (BIG) announced a new partnership Wednesday with software and cloud portfolio management provider SoftwareOne.

Financial terms and duration of the deal were not disclosed.

Under the terms of this new deal, BIG will work with the company to create “activations that not only showcase their shared commitment to the esports and gaming community but also provide valuable opportunities for talent acquisition.” These activations will include participation from players, SoftwareOne employees, and other talents. The partnership will focus on BIG’s League of Legends and Trackmania teams and players.

While BIG did not emphatically say it, we assume the partnership includes marketing through social media and live streaming platforms, as well as branding placement on BIG team jerseys.

SoftwareOne joins other BIG sponsors and partners including Logitech G, UNLTD, German skin marketplace SkinBaron, German gaming chair maker Backforce, mineral water company Volvic, DACH insurance company die Bayerische, gaming desk company LeetDesk, Philips OneBlade, and Pizza Hut.

BIG fields professional teams in Counter-Strike 2 (which includes an academy-level team called BIG Academy and Iberian team BIG EQUIPA), League of Legends (including an all-women/non-binary team called BIG Chroma), Starcraft II, Quake, Trackmania, and TEKKEN. It also operates Go BIG League, a German-speaking FACEIT hub in the DACH region.
