India-based esports and gaming media platform Esportz.in announced this week the first details on the fourth edition of its year-long competition series, the Esportz Premier Series.
This year’s competition will once again feature multiple competitions in Counter-Strike 2 (PC), Free Fire MAX (mobile), EA Sports FC 24 (console), and Assetto Corsa Competizione (sim-racing), and will offer a total prize pool of ₹25,00,000 INR (or roughly $30K USD).
While the series is “open-for-all,” this year it will include regional qualifiers in India for East, West, South, and North, with each title having a dedicated qualifier, ultimately leading into in-person regional finals held over LAN. Winners of the regional qualifiers will secure a spot at “Mega LAN,” the grand finale of the series, at the end of the year.
The competition will begin with the West region and Counter-Strike 2 will be the first game to host a qualifier, though exact dates were not disclosed. More details on the event are to be announced.
The Esportz Premier Series was first launched in 2021 with “the idea of an open-for-all tournament having a community-first approach, providing a platform for amateurs, novices, and pros while featuring gaming titles from all the major genres of esports.”
