Los Angeles-based esports organization NRG Esports and online auto marketplace Carvana announced the official launch of a promotional vehicle (pun intended) for the  Rocket League-related student event called the “Carvana | NRG Combine.” Ahead of the previously announced Nov. 11 – 12 skills challenge, Carvana has gifted Team NRG a fully custom-wrapped SUV called the Dub Wagon, that will  be used as a “mobile production hub” for the team to create content during the Combine and throughout the remainder of the year.

The Dub Wagon will be used as  the team’s “preferred mode of tournament transport” and serve as a “content-ready mobile vlog studio for pre- and post-tournament fan touch points throughout the year,” according to a release. The Dub Wagon will reside at NRG’s downtown LA headquarters, and will be on site for the inaugural Carvana | NRG Combine.

As previously announced, the Carvana | NRG Combine will take place from Nov. 11 – 13, at the NRG Castle in downtown Los Angeles, where some of the country’s best student esports athletes ages 18+ will vye for a chance to win a one-year content creator contract from Carvana and NRG, along with a grand prize of $10K USD.

The skills competition is being held in conjunction with the Network of Academic and Scholastic Esports Federations (NASEF).

More details on this event can be found in this story.

The promotional vehicle and student-focused event is part of NRG’s ongoing partnership with Carvana, and is similar to its recent promotion with Ford Motor Company, which recently provided a decked out van to Full Squad Gaming as it took a road trip to TwitchCon.
