On Sunday the Fortnite pro duo of  Cooper and Mero were crowned the reigning champions of the Fortnite Champion Series Global Championship 2023, taking home the lion’s share of the $4M USD prize pool and the Swarovski FNCS Trophy.

The FNCS Global Championship took place over the weekend at an in-person live event in Copenhagen, Denmark, bringing together 150 of the top Fortnite players in the world to compete in Duos Battle Royale across 16 matches during the three-day event.

Epic Games did not release details on in-person attendance and economic local impact of the three-day event. Data on viewership was also not available at the time of writing.

Our back-of-the-envelope math is that Cooper and Mero took home roughly $1.175M each. Runner-ups included Kami & Setty (second place – $650K), TruleX & Chico (third place – $450K), Pixie & Cheatiin (fourth place – $350K), and MKMKPAPA & Shelom (fifth place – $200K).

Congratulations to all of the competitors and to the winners, who performed at the highest level on an international stage.
