International esports media publication GosuGamers announced this week that Romeo Misao has been appointed to the role of director for India.
Prior to joining GosuGamers, Misao served as the country head at Galaxy Racer India (he left the company in March). Misao, a former professional competitive Counter-Strike 1.6 player for more than eight years, has a long history in esports, gaming, and consumer electronics. Over the years he has held leadership roles in India at the aforementioned Galaxy Racer India, BenQ, ViewSonic, Free Fire maker Garena India, and many other organizations both large and small.
In his new role as director at GosuGamers, he will spearhead the company’s expansion efforts in India. The company said in a release that this “appointment reflects GosuGamers’ commitment to providing high-quality esports coverage and fostering community engagement in India.”
“I am truly excited to be a part of the GosuGamers family and contribute to the vibrant esports scene in India,” said Misao in the announcement. “GosuGamers has an unparalleled reputation for delivering top-notch content to the global gaming community, and I am eager to lead their endeavors in India, bringing players, fans, and industry partners together on one platform.”
Launched in 2002, GosuGamers is a global media company that focuses on competitive games on the international stage, with a focus on Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO), Dota 2, League of Legends, Valorant, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (ML:BB), and more. Its areas of coverage include competitive “schedules, results, data, news, videos, and more.” In recent years it has expanded its coverage into new regions including India, Vietnam, and Indonesia.
