Red Bull Gaming announced this week that it has partnered with Aimlabs for a “multi-week online skills tournament” called Red Bull Ready Check. According to a release, the competition will be a mix of “grassroots gamers competing with/against seasoned professionals, culminating in a live championship on July 29 in Dallas, Texas.

Competitors will start by using the new Red Bull Ready Check Ranked Mode on Aimlabs, which gives users nine custom tasks to test their aim. Each task will evaluate   one of three aiming fundamentals—switching, flicking and tracking—and from June 12 – July 9, any player with an Aimlabs account can complete to earn a score on the public leaderboard. At the end of four weeks, the top six US players on the leaderboard will qualify for the Red Bull Ready Check Championship in Dallas.

Eight qualified competitors and eight invited pros will face off at the Red Bull Ready Check Championship. More details on the format and dates can be found here. Ultimately, the overall winner will earn $25K USD—half of the overall prize pool of $50K.

AOC, who is serving as a sponsor of the competition, will award an AOC monitor to the top player with the highest score on the open ranked ladder at the end of each week as well and 16 finalists will also receive an AOC monitor.

Red Bull Gaming will announce which pros will be taking part in the competition at a later date.
