ESL FACEIT Group-owned subsidiary DreamHack announced that its most recent event—DreamHack Dallas—has become its largest-ever North American event in the company’s history.
According to stats provided by the company, the three-day festival weekend that ran from June 2-4, saw approximately 44,000 people pass through the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center for a variety of panels, activities, musical performances, and esports competitions.
Esports related highlights during DreamHack Dallas included ENCE winning Intel Extreme Masters Dallas 2023; Nigma Galaxy winning the ESL Impact Dallas Finals; “Dr. Buhmann” winning back-to-back Collegiate Rocket League World Championships; FaZe Clan winning the Halo Championship Series Global Invitationals; Gen.G Mobil1 Racing Black winning the all-women Rocket Clash, Players Malibuca and Th0masHD winning DreamHack Open Featuring Fortnite.
Organizers of the event did not provide data about the economic impact on the local economy during the three-day event.
