The Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC) announced Tuesday the launch of its Global Esports Industry Advisory Board, and the appointment of two board members from tournament organizers ESL FACEIT Group and BLAST. The Global Esports Industry Advisory Board is designed to provide “expert advice” from members of the esports industry to ESIC’s CEO on a “range of critical industry issues,” according to a release.
Joining the advisory board this week are ESL FACEIT Group SVP of Public & International Affairs David Neichel and BLAST CEO Robbie Douek.
ESIC said that the board will “meet as required to address strategic challenges and ensure that ESIC’s initiatives effectively meet current and future industry needs.”
“Both David and Robbie bring a remarkable depth of knowledge and a passion for advancing the integrity of esports,” said Stephen Hanna, CEO of ESIC. “Their expertise will be crucial as we navigate the evolving landscape of esports and strive to maintain the integrity that our community expects and deserves.”
In case you are not familiar with the organization, ESIC works with stakeholders and tournament organizers such as BLAST and ESL FACEIT Group to “disrupt, prevent, investigate, and prosecute” cheating, malpractice, and match-fixing in esports.
