Esports data and technology provider Abios announced Tuesday that it has signed a long-term partnership with Paris-based esports organization Team Vitality.
Financial terms of this new deal were not disclosed, and though the company categorizes it as “long-term,” the actual duration of this partnership was not revealed in the announcement.
Under the terms of the partnership, Team Vitality will utilize Abios data to fuel its “prediction tool” (part of its fan engagement initiatives) which allows fans to score points by successfully predicting how Team Vitality will perform in upcoming matches. Those scores will be posted to a leaderboard where the best contenders have a chance to win prizes, including merchandise and experiences with professional players.
The prediction tool is part of a larger effort by Team Vitality to provide an enhanced fan experience in tandem with its V.Hive app that launched in November 2022.
Team Vitality currently competes in League of Legends, Starcraft II, Counter-Strike 2, Rocket League, EA Sports FC 24, and Valorant. Team Vitality claims it has a community of more than 12M fans across all social media platforms.
Abios joins a growing list of Team Vitality sponsors and partners including Tezos, hummel, Magnum, Ben & Jerry’s Tradeit.gg, JBL Quantum, Aldi, Phillips, Credit Agricole, and Cherry XTRFY.
