Riot Games has selected GGTech Entertainment as the tournament organizer and broadcast operator responsible for the Teamfight Tactics Remix Rumble Set in North America. The Remix Rumble Set was introduced on Nov. 21, which included changes to gameplay, the removal of the mid-set, and the set duration extended to four months. This release also signified a move towards a schedule of three sets annually.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
Under the terms of this deal, GGTech will be in charge of two cups during the Set: the K/DA Cup and the Heartsteel Cup. The dates, format, and point allocation for the K/DA Cup, Heartsteel Cup, and Regional Finals are as follows:
The K/DA Cup and the Heartsteel Cup will each feature a prize pool of $12.5K, while the Regional Finals will offer a $35K prize pool. Further details about the TFT Remix Rumble NA can be found here.
In July, Riot Games confirmed The Esports Advocate’s previous reporting that GGTech would be its collegiate esports partner over the next three years, serving as “a one-stop-shop” for College League of Legends, College Valorant, the college club program, and other programs such as the the CLoL Fall Warmup tournament.
Last week the North American TFT Set kicked off with a LAN event at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, with North American player Milala emerged as the champion of the competition dedicated to Riot’s popular autobattler game, claiming the top prize of $100K USD.
