Riot Games announced Thursday that the League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC) Winter Split will take place Jan. 13, 2024, at the Riot Games Arena, the new and improved home for all Riot Games esports in Berlin, Germany (formerly the LEC Studio). Tickets for the event will go on sale sometime to be announced in early-2024.
The Winter Split will kick off on Jan. 13, with competition running up to the Split Final taking place on Feb. 18. The reigning 2023 LEC Season Champions G2 Esports will take the stage to defend its title against the rest of the league, including new LEC franchised team Karmine Corp, who will officially debut in the Winter Split (Riot approved the sale of Astralis’ LEC slot to the organization in October).
Competitions will be broadcast live starting at 5 PM CET each day, with the doors at the Riot Games Arena in Berlin opening at 4 PM CET.
Regular season tickets will cost €12 each (roughly $13.18 USD, as of this writing) and go on sale Jan. 5 at 6:00 PM CET via Riot’s ticketing platform.
