Esports entertainment company and tournament organizer BLAST announced this week that it has partnered Visit Denmark, the official tourism board of Denmark, ahead of the upcoming Counter-Strike event—the BLAST Premier Fall Final—taking place in Copenhagen from Nov. 22 – 26, at the Royal Arena.

Financial terms of the new partnership were not disclosed.

Under the terms of this new partnership, BLAST will work with Visit Denmark to promote the country as a “world-leading destination and hub for gaming and esports.”  The partnership further aims to promote Denmark using a variety of “physical and digital platforms” and content featuring Danish Counter-Strike players visiting iconic local landmarks in Lynæs Surfcenter, Fyrkroen, Kronborg.

BLAST also highlighted a recent report (released in August) from Dansk Industri called “Denmark as an esports nation” that describes Denmark as a potential front-runner as an international destination for esports. It also notes that the esports industry in Denmark employs 3,000 people—double the entire Danish film industry.

The Fall Final Copenhagen 2023 will feature a total prize pool of $425K USD, with first place taking home $200K, second place awarded $85K, and third and fourth place each receiving $40K. Teams participating in the event include Ninjas in Pyjamas, NAVI, Heroic, FaZe Clan, Team Vitality, Astralis, Cloud9, and Complexity Gaming.
