North American esports organization Evil Geniuses announced Tuesday that it has expanded its partnership with online crypto betting platform Thunderpick.

Financial terms of this partnership were not disclosed.

With this expansion, Thunderpick has signed on as an official sponsor of the EG’s Dota 2 team. EG’s current Dota 2 roster joined the team in late-2022 following The International 11, and is comprised of players previously from other top Dota 2 teams in South America.

As part of this expanded partnership, Thunderpick and EG will work together to bring fans “exclusive team content, fan experiences, and so much more” ahead of The International 12  in October.

In 2023 so far, this Dota team took first place at the DPC SA 2023 Tour #3: Division 1, fourth place at the ESL One Berlin Major 2023, and was the first South American team to finish in the top four at a Dota 2 Major tournament during the DPC circuit.

Thunderpick joins EG’s other partners and sponsors including the Wolverhampton Wanderers (Wolves), Hewlett Packard Enterprise, LG UltraGear, Secretlab, Chevron, VK GAME, Mastercard and its largest investor Peak6.
