Nicole LaPointe Jameson announced on Thursday afternoon that she will be leaving her role as CEO of Evil Geniuses (EG) sometime in September.

In a social media post Jameson said, “It seems fitting that after lifting the Valorant World Championship trophy this week, to announce that my last day at Evil Geniuses is coming up next month. There are too many feelings to write, but thinking back to the past four and a half years, all I can feel is immense appreciation for the opportunity to shake up the esports and gaming world alongside an incredible group of innovators, disruptors, athletes, and creators.”

Jameson joined EG in May of 2019 as its top executive, after advising PEAK6 Investments on investing in the Seattle-based esports organization as an associate.

Jameson’s role will be filled by current Chief Innovation Officer Chris DeAppolonio, according to Jameson:

“I, of course, have to give an extra big thank you to my successor, the brain behind our data analytics, and innovation. EG is in great hands with my friend and right hand of over three years, Chris DeAppolonio. I am excited to watch the continued evolution of a thoughtful operator and esports believer at the helm.”
