PUBG and Battlegrounds Mobile India maker Krafton India announced Monday a partnership with India-based streaming service JioCinema to live stream the official Battlegrounds Mobile India Series in the region.

Financial terms of the partnership were not disclosed.

Under the terms of the deal, JioCinema will live stream matches beginning with the final round of “The Grind,” the first phase of the series, scheduled to start Aug. 17 and ending on Aug. 20. From Aug. 31, the competition will continue, leading into a grand finals taking place from Oct. 12 – 14. BGIS will offer both Hindi and English commentary and broadcasts for the preliminary matches and the grand finale.

Battlegrounds Mobile India competitors will be competing for INR 2 Cr ($240K USD), with ($91K) up for grabs to the overall winner.

This is the second BGIS event organized by Krafton for its game in the region.

JioCinema was once owned by Reliance Industries Limited subsidiary Reliance Projects and Property Management Services Limited, but was merged with Viacom18 and approved by India regulatory agency the Competition Commission of India in September of 2022.
