India-based gaming and esports content streaming platform Rooter announced Wednesday a partnership with Revenant Esports to help support the Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) tournament, Revenant Esports Invitational Showdown.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
In addition to streaming the competition on its platform, Rooter will also serve as broadcasting partners for the event.
Taking place July 14 – 16, the Revenant Esports Invitational Showdown tournament features 18 of the best teams from India’s BGMI scene and a total prize pool of INR 7 Lakhs ($1,215 USD). Over the three-day competition, five matches will take place every day (15 total) and be broadcast live on both Rooter and YouTube.
Teams competing include Revenant Esports, Team Soul, GodLike Esports, Team 8Bit, OR Esports, Numen Gaming, Gladiators Esports, Velocity Gaming, Reckoning Esports, Gujarat Tigers, Team XSpark, Orangutan Gaming, Enigma Gaming, Gods Reign, Medal Esports, Blind Official, Global Esports, and Entity Gaming.
