GIRLGAMER has selected Atlanta, Georgia, as one of several host cities on its 2023 international festival tour, and has inked a partnership deal with Skillshot Media as the venue and production partner, and Ghost Gaming as the host gaming organization in Atlanta.

Financial terms of this partnership were not disclosed.

The GIRLGAMER international festival promotes inclusion and gender equality in esports. For the Season 5 tour, GIRLGAMER will make stops in the following cities:

  • Daejeon, South Korea – Aug. 25-27.
  • Dubai, UAE – Sept. 22-24.
  • Cape Town, South Africa – Oct. 24-28.
  • Atlanta, USA – Dec. 13
  • Mexico City, Mexico – Dec. 16-17.

The Atlanta event will be hosted by Skillshot at Uptown Atlanta on Dec. 13, 2023. In June, Skillshot announced an expanded relationship with the mixed-use space, “Uptown Atlanta,” to host live events there. The space is backed by private equity firm Rubenstein Partners, who is funding ongoing renovation efforts.

The 2023 World Circuit will give women the opportunity to compete on teams in a bid to qualify for a World Finals via national festival stops in a number of games including Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO), League of Legends, Rocket League, and other titles to be announced. Specific details on titles that will be played at each stop will be announced at a later date as well as ticketing information, and other planned extracurricular activities.
