Esports tournament organizer ESL FACEIT Group and UK-based gaming and esports services company Promod Esports (who currently oversees the ESL Premiership) announced Tuesday that they have partnered with the Insomnia the Gaming Festival for ESL Premiership Autumn 2023.
Financial terms of the partnership were not disclosed.
With this new tie-up, the finals of the ESL National Championship tournament for the UK & Ireland will be hosted on the esports stage of the Insomnia the Gaming Festival in the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham, on Sept. 8.
The ESL Premiership, which officially launched in 2015, is the longest-running national league in the UK & Ireland and serves as the top national Counter-Strike: Global Offensive division for the region, serving as a vehicle to advance within the ESL Pro Tour (EPT) ecosystem for amateurs, semi-professional, and professional players.
The ESL Premiership Autumn 2023 will see the top eight (8) national teams compete for a share of the €15K (over £12.5K, or $16.8K USD) prize pool, a national title, and a spot in the National Championships ESL Pro League (EPL) Season 19 EU Pre-Qualifier.
