Web3 and NFT company Yuga Labs announced Friday that it has hired former Epic Games EVP of Development Mike Seavers as its new chief technology officer. Seavers will officially take on the role May 22, taking over for outgoing CTO Kerem Atalay, who will still work with the company as a strategic advisor.

Seavers most recently worked at Epic as EVP of development, working on such properties as Unreal Engine, Fortnite, and the Epic Games Store. Prior to that he worked at Riot Games as CTO, working with such IPs as Legends of Runeterra, Valorant, and League of Legends.

Yuga Labs, who raised a $450M USD in a seed funding round at a $4B valuation, is best known for its NFT/web3 properties including Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), 10KTF, Otherside, CryptoPunks, and Meebits.
