Riot Games and Indian tournament organizer NODWIN Gaming announced Wednesday a new two-year agreement for Valorant Challengers League esports tournaments in South Asia. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed. As part of the deal, Riot and NODWIN will also work together to secure sponsorships and media rights deals for Valorant Challenger League in South Asia.
The league will operate from January – July every year, with a 2023 start in March featuring a total prize pool of $140K USD (INR 1.15M). Participating South Asia teams will be competing for a piece of the total prize pool and a qualifying spot in the APAC Valorant Ascension event—bringing together winners of 10 Challenger Leagues across APAC to compete for a slot in APAC Pacific League 2024.
This new two-year deal is a continuation of Riot’s relationship with NODWIN in the region; the company organized previous iterations of Valorant Championship Tour and Valorant Conquerors Championship competitions in the region in 2021 and 2022 for Riot.
