Berlin-based G2 Esports announced Wednesday that it has expanded into Southeast Asia with the launch of a new team called G2 Blacklist. Located in Manila, Philippines, this new team represents the organization’s first League of Legends: Wild Rift roster.
The new team is a joint venture with Tier One Entertainment, the parent company of Blacklist International, an esports organization that focuses heavily on the competitive mobile gaming scene. In addition to competing in regional Wild Rift tournaments, G2 Blacklist will also create a new content series called “The Bootcamp, which will chronicle its journey as it attempts to qualify in the Wild Rift League Asia.
The new initiative also includes “a bespoke and exclusive art piece,” created by Filipino toy designer, illustrator, and graffiti artist Quiccs.
