Oxygen Esports launches Quick Fix Media, signs first deal with Shift RLE.

Oxygen Esports announced that it has launched a new division called Quick Fix Media, described as an “independent esports content and media incubator” that promises to provide “material and strategic assistance” to esports media sites.

The division’s first strategic partnership is with popular Rocket League esports coverage sites, ShiftRLE & Octane.

While financial terms of this new deal were not disclosed, Quick Fix Media noted in its announcement that ShiftRLE will “continue to operate autonomously.”

As part of this backing, ShiftRLE is launching a new initiative called the Shift Summer League featuring Rocket League. This new league play event will feature the top Rocket League teams from Europe and North America competing for a $40K USD prize pool and will run from July 9 – Aug. 7. The goal of this competition is to give fans something to look forward to in the gap between the RLCS London Major and Rocket League World Championship.

Founded in 2020, Oxygen Esports is a multi-title esports organization based out of Boston. In 2021, Oxygen Esports merged with Kraft Sports and Entertainment’s (owners of the NFL team, the New England Patriots) esports operations which included its Overwatch League franchise Boston Uprising. At around the same time, it launched the Boston-based Call of Duty League franchise, the Boston Breach. In addition to operating two professional-level LAN centers in the Boston area (one in North Bergen, and another one adjacent to Gillette Stadium—the home of the New England Patriots and New England Revolution) under the Helix eSports brand, Oxygen Esports fields rosters in Valorant, Rocket League, Rainbow Six Siege, Apex Legends, and sim racing.
