ESL FACEIT Group (EFG) in–conjunction with partner Qualcomm Technologies—announced Wednesday its plans to expand the roadmap for Year 3 of the Snapdragon Pro Series, the company’s multi-title, international mobile esports league.
Seasons 5 and 6 of competition will feature what EFG calls the “largest prize pool in Snapdragon Pro Series history,” with a total of $4.4M USD and competition across seven popular mobile titles including Brawl Stars, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Free Fire, Clash of Clans, Call of Duty Mobile, Battlegrounds Mobile India, and Asphalt 9 Legends. Not all titles are available in all regions (for example, Indian players can compete in BGMI and Call of Duty Mobile) Details on what games are available in each region can be found here.
Snapdragon Pro Series Year 3 includes global competition beginning with Mobile Open across multiple titles through the end of April and concludes with Mobile Masters in 2025. The next leg of the competition, Snapdragon Mobile Masters 2024, will take place in São Paulo, Brazil, at the Komplexo Tempo from April 12 – 14, and will feature 12 teams competing in Call of Duty Mobile for a share of a $200K prize pool, and 8 teams competing in Free Fire—also for a share of a $200K prize pool. The Free Fire competition will include the added perk of being a qualifier for the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in July.
Many of the titles being highlighted in Year 3 are the result of recently expanded and extended partnerships with stakeholders such as Mobile Legends: Bang Bang publisher MOONTON, Brawl Stars owner Supercell, Call of Duty: Mobile owner Activision Blizzard, and others:
- Brawl Stars: Through a recently signed multi-year partnership with Supercell, the Snapdragon Pro Series will serve as the global operator of the Brawl Stars Championship, across more than 190 countries. A live last-chance qualifier will be held in August, as a pipeline into the World Finals later this year.
- MLBB: MOONTON’s popular game returns to the Snapdragon Pro Series with new Mobile Open competitions kicking off April 8 in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (MENA), Latin America, and Southeast Asia, and offers the top-performing teams a path to international multiple MLBB competitions at Mobile Masters and the Esports World Cup in Saudi Arabia. The MLBB circuit will also include its first tournament for top women competitors in Southeast Asia for a chance to qualify for the MLBB Women’s Invitational at Esports World Cup in July.
- Free Fire: Competition returns this year with Mobile Open play beginning in Latin America and promises “new opportunities to qualify for international events, with more details to come.”
- Clash of Clans: The Snapdragon Pro Series Clash of Clans competition will feed into the official Clash of Clans Last Chance Qualifier tournament (the world championship).
- Call of Duty: Mobile: Call of Duty: Mobile esports returns to the Snapdragon Pro Series in Year 3, with more details on Season 5 and 6 of competition to be shared in the coming weeks.
