São Paulo, Brazil-based esports organization FURIA announced this week that it has officially launched a sales operation in China. These operations are being facilitated through a new strategic partnership with China-based e-commerce platform ONWEAR.
Financial terms and duration of the deal were not disclosed.
Under the terms of this new deal, FURIA jerseys will be available for purchase in China through ONWEAR, with the company creating these jerseys for the local market through a licensing arrangement with FURIA, according to a release. Initially, the agreement only covers “Future is Black game jerseys,” and does not extend to other collections available on furia.gg such as casual Magic Panthera and the rest of the Future is Black line.
“Here at ONWEAR, our vision has always been to build the largest and most sophisticated destination for purchasing licensed esports IP merchandise in China,” said ONWEAR Founder and COO Yu Chen. “We believe that adding FURIA merchandise to our portfolio is essential because FURIA, one of the most successful esports organizations in South America, has undeniable influence for fans everywhere, including in China.”
ONWEAR joins other FURIA sponsors and partners including AGON by AOC, Betnacianal, Cruzeiro do Sul Educacional, Pokerstars, Lenovo LEGION, Pay 4 Fun, and Red Bull. FURIA currently fields teams in Counter-Strike 2, PUBG, PUBG Mobile, League of Legends, Rocket League, Rainbow Six Siege, Rennsport, Valorant, and Apex Legends.
