Germany-based esports organization Berlin International Gaming (BIG) and Logitech G announced a global strategic partnership on Tuesday.
Financial terms and duration of this new partnership were not disclosed.
Aimed at the German gaming community, BIG will work with the company to create content that promotes Logitech G’s various gamer-focused peripherals. The partnership will also feature “BIG’s top players from multiple teams as the new faces of several storytelling elements.”
As part of the agreement, Logitech will also equip BIG’s pro rosters with its Logitech G PRO Series, a lineup of “professional-grade headsets, mice, and keyboards.” Logitech G branding will also appear on social media channels, streaming platforms and on BIG team jerseys.
“As the preferred gear choice among BIG’s players and being the world’s most prestigious peripheral brand in esports, Logitech G is a natural fit for our brand and talents,” said Daniel Finkler, CEO of BIG. “This partnership is a testament to Logitech’s faith in BIG as the leading esports club in Germany: With their multi-year support and provision of high-end products for our teams, Logitech G will play an instrumental role in promoting the development of German esports on a global level in the coming years. Welcome to BIG!”
BIG currently fields professional teams and players in Counter-Strike 2 (including an academy-level team called BIG Academy and Iberian team BIG EQUIPA), League of Legends (including an all-women/non-binary team called BIG Chroma), Starcraft II, Quake, Trackmania, and TEKKEN. It also runs Go BIG League, a German-speaking FACEIT hub in the DACH region.
BIG’s sponsors and partners include esports merchandise company UNLTD, German skin marketplace SkinBaron, German gaming chair maker Backforce, mineral water company Volvic, DACH insurance company die Bayerische, gaming desk company LeetDesk, Philips OneBlade, and Pizza Hut.
