PUBG Mobile World Cup Announced

PUBG Mobile Esports announced Thursday details on the inaugural PUBG Mobile World Cup, as part of the Saudi Arabian government-backed Esports World Cup, taking place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in July.

The PUBG Mobile World Cup will feature a total prize pool of $3M USD and will feature 24 teams from Southeast Asia, EMEA, and the Americas across three stages of competition, according to a release.

Five teams from Southeast Asia, four teams from Central and South Asia, four teams from EMEA, three teams from The Americas, two teams from China, one from South Korea, one from Japan and the winners of the PUBG Rivals Cup (PMRC) Korea vs Japan tournament. Finally, two additional teams will receive a special invite, along with the champion of this year’s PUBG Mobile Global Open 2024.

Those 24 teams will enter through the Group Stage, followed by a Survival Stage for the bottom 12 teams, leading to the Main Stage featuring the top 12 Group Stage teams and the top four (4) of the Survival Stage.

Also revealed on Thursday are the 39 PUBG Mobile teams that are officially part of the PUBG Mobile Esports Partnership Program. Details on that can be found in the graphic below, but highlights include Team Falcon, FaZe Clan, Natus Vincere, and Team Liquid.
