On Feb. 9, Madden NFL player Henry Leverette took home the Ultimate Madden Bowl championship ring and the $250K USD grand prize, and also managed to reach a personal milestone: He became the very first player in Madden NFL Championship Series (MCS) historyย to surpass $1M in total career earnings, due in part to more than 100 career wins under the age of 21.ย
Publisher EA also had a few milestones of its own during the event: Leveretteโs 34-25 win over rival Wesley Gittens was watched by hundreds of fans at the live event at the House of Blues in Las Vegas, and by more than 99K peak viewers across streaming channelsโa 130% increase from last yearโs Ultimate Madden Bowl, according to EA.ย EA also said that the MCS 2024 season saw โmore than doubleโ the amount of registrations from MCS 23, but did not provide specific numbers.ย
The Ultimate Madden Bowl Presented by Lexus was held in Vegas, and preceded Super Bowl LVIII at Allegiant Stadium on Feb. 11, which saw the Kansas City Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers 25-22. The Ultimate Madden Bowl broadcast featured celebrity guests including LA Chargers Safety Derwin James and NFLN personality Kyle Brandt. SL1MGHOST was honored during the event with the inauguralย Madden NFL Championship Series Positive Player Award.ย
“It’s everything,โ said Henry Leverette on stage after winning the Ultimate Madden Bowl. โThis [ring] is what everyone is working toward, and the fact that it’s on my finger… I feel like a millionaire.”
The championship ring was designed by Super Bowl ring designer Jostens.ย
