LG UltraGear partners with Skyesports as Title Partner for two major India esports events

India-based tournament organizer Skyesports and international electronics company LG Electronics (LG) have partnered for the Skyesports Champions Series and the in-person Skyesports Grand Slam event in Pune, India.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Under the terms of this new deal, LG UltraGear will serve as the title sponsor for the Skyesports Champions Series (SCS) featuring Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), and Skyesports Grand Slam featuring Counter-Strike 2.

The Skyesports Grand Slam is set to happen in Pune, India, from March 14-16 during the sixth annual India Gaming Show 2024—the international gaming and entertainment event run by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). The tournament featured four teams; one from India, one from Australia, and two from Europe, competing for the title of champion and a share of the $50K USD total prize pool.

LG UltraGear will also be showcasing its newest monitors through an interactive booth at the India Gaming Show 2024.

SCS 2024 will feature a total prize pool of INR 10,00,000 (roughly $12K USD), with semifinals taking place from Feb. 27 – March 3. The top 24 BMGI teams from India will compete for the 16 slots in the Grand Finals, set to happen from March 5-10.
