ESL FACEIT Group (EFG) announced details this week on Season 22 of DreamLeague by Intel, taking place Feb. 25 – March 10, and featuring an overall prize pool of $1M USD. The online Dota 2 tournament (part of the ESL Pro Tour) features the top teams from around the world competing for a chance to qualify for the Riyadh Masters, taking place at the Esports World Cup this summer. This will include ESL One Kuala Lumpur winninning teams Azure Ray, TI winners Team Spirit, BetBoom Dacha winners Team Falcons, Shopify Rebellion and Gaimin Gladiators.

 At the end of the EPT season, the teams that placed highest on the leaderboard will secure one of 20 spots in Riyadh Masters at the inaugural season of Esports World Cup to crown the first Club World Champion.

Teams participating in Season 22 include 1Win, Aurora, Azure Ray, BetBoom team, G2 x iG, Gaimin Gladiators, Heroic, OG Esports, Shopify Rebellion, Team Falcons, Team Liquid, Team Secret, Team Spirit, Tundra Esports, Virtus.pro, and Xtreme Gaming.

Schedule:

Group Stage 1 – Feb. 25-28: 16 teams, split into two single round-robin groups of eight. Each series will consist of two games, with the top four teams from each group advancing to Group Stage 2. 

Group Stage 2 – March 1-7: Eight remaining teams will compete against each other in one group through a best-of-three round-robin. The top four teams will advance to the Playoffs. The top two teams from Group Stage 2 will be placed into the upper bracket, with the others in the lower bracket.

Playoffs – March 9-10: The final four teams will compete in a double-elimination bracket. The winner of the upper bracket will proceed to the Grand Finals, while the loser will have one last chance in the lower bracket final; they will compete against the winner of the first round of the lower bracket, with the winning squad advancing to the Grand Finals.

Grand Finals – March 10: Final match is a best-of-five series, where the winner will be crowned DreamLeague Season 22 Champions and take home the top prize of $300K and 4,200 EPT points.

Hosts and co-hosts include Sheever (Jorien van der Heijden), Tsunami (Neal Khandheria), Jenkins (Andrew Jenkins), and PyrionFlax (Ted Forsyth). Commentators include Cap (Austin Walsh), SVG (Avery Silverman), SUNSfan (Shannon Scotten), and syndereN (Troels Lyngholt Nielsen). Finally, analysts taking part in DreamLeague Season 22 include BSJ (Brian Canavan), Ephey (Mira Riad), KheZu (Maurice Gutmann), Lacoste (Dominik Stipić), and Purge (Kevin Godec).

DreamLeague Season 22 will be streamed live on the ESL Dota 2 Twitch and YouTube channels, and via dedicated broadcast partners from Feb. 25 – March 10.
