Berlin-based esports data platform GRID and the South Korean e-Sports Association (KeSPA) announced a strategic global partnership this week to utilize official esports data services and to help analyze the “potential of South Korea’s esports ecosystem.”

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

In case you are not familiar with the company and its GRID Data Platform, it provides solutions for “in-game telemetry data sourcing (GRID Game SDK), analytics, integrity, and distribution in competitive game titles for AAA publishers and independent game studios.” GRID also serves as the official data platform for League of Legends, Valorant, Rainbow Six Siege, PUBG, Counter-Strike 2, and Dota 2

Under the terms of this partnership, GRID will help KeSPA to have “international alignment with the South Korean vision and framework of sustainable esports growth with data-driven insights and opportunities at its core.”

Founded in 2000, KeSPA is an official member of the Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; as well as the Korean Olympic Committee and the International e-Sports Federation. It is also the official managing body of 16 esports titles in the region  including Riot Games’ League of Legends and Valorant, and Krafton’s PUBG.
