CECC Returns to Esports Stadium Arlington

Collegiate Sports Management Group (CSMG) announced Thursday that the 2024 Collegiate Esports Commissioner’s Cup Texas will return to Esports Stadium Arlington, in Arlington Texas, on May 3-5.

In addition, McDonald’s of North Texas has returned as presenting sponsor and official “quick service restaurant” of the competitions.

CECC Texas will welcome 64 teams from participating collegiate esports programs in North America as they compete in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Overwatch 2, Rocket League, and Valorant. The event will also feature Texas-based Vanta, who will crown middle and high school state champions.

McDonald’s will offer “gaming giveaways, on-site activations, and custom digital content,” while also promoting the McDonald’s App. McDonald’s will also host the private red carpet Jersey ceremony to kick off the weekend, with every esports athlete  receiving a branded jersey.

In addition to the competitions, attendees can take part in the Collegiate Esports Awards, the Vendor Village, partner activations, esports celebrity meet & greets, and Open Amateur LAN Tournaments.

CECC is run by CSMG, which describes itself as an “integrated sports and entertainment media company focused on esports and traditional sports.” More details about the event and CSMG can be found here.
