Singapore-based web3 company Ampverse announced this week that it has acquired the technology and IP assets of Singapore-based gaming startup Championfy.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Ampverse is a technology company focusing on gaming communities that operates in Singapore, Thailand, India, Vietnam, and the Philippines. The company offers data driven marketing solutions for businesses, across three divisions: Ampverse IP & Communities, Ampverse Marketing Solutions, and Ampverse Labs. Championfy operates a cloud gaming platform and mobile apps intended to provide competitive casual gamers with daily prizes to competitors.
While financial terms were not disclosed, Championfy calls the Ampverse transaction a “multi-million dollar investment.”
With the acquisition, Ampverse will roll Championfy’s technology into its own offerings through its Ampverse Labs division.
“The integration of Championfy’s assets into Ampverse Labs will accelerate the development of our in-house products and services, further solidifying Ampverse’s role as an industry leader,” the company noted in a release. “Ampverse Labs, led by Sascha Jochum, the Director of Web3 & Ampverse Lab, is dedicated to pioneering data-driven game-tech solutions that bridge the gap between brands and their audiences in the dynamic gaming markets of Southeast Asia and India.”
Championfy’s services are currently paused as both companies work together to integrate their product offerings.
