Brazilian esports organization FURIA announced on Tuesday that it has appointed Marcos Pereira as its new head of partnerships and customer success. Prior to joining FURIA, Pereira worked at Google as games business development manager for Google Play LATAM/
Pereira began his career in July 2011 by launching his own consultancy firm called Marco Marketing Consultants, where he spent nearly three years before jumping ship to Microsoft Brazil to take on the role of Xbox marketing specialist. He stayed there for more than two years before moving on to the Brazil division of Warner Bros. Entertainment Group, where he spent nearly four years in various product management and marketing roles supporting film, television, and game releases in the region. In August of 2017 he joined Blizzard Entertainment, where he spent another four years in various roles supporting the company’s top IPs in the Brazilian market.
In his new role, Pereira will take the lead on partnership initiatives, and strengthen brand and fan experiences.
Pereira joins a number of other executive hires in 2023 for the organization, including Patrícia Lima and Thales Moura, joined the company in April as diversity and inclusion specialist and head of talent, respectively.
