Esports tournament operator ESL FACEIT Group (EFG) announced Wednesday that it has partnered with Poland-based Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team 9INE to use its FACEIT online platform for competitive gaming and community building.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Under the terms of this new partnership, 9INE will use the FACEIT platform as a homebase and community to connect with its fans and Polish-speaking players and to host events and competitions. Players will be able to compete in tournaments, earn “FACEIT points, cash, 9INE merchandise, and other prizes” each month, according to a release.
9INE will also be able to “to display and sell directly within the FACEIT Shop” where the community can use those FACEIT points to buy digital items. The platform also provides for partners to create custom content that can be put behind a built-in subscription service.
This new deal with 9INE follows a similar partnership with Danish esports organization Astralis that was announced earlier this month.
