A. Dylan Jadeja to Replace Nicolo Laurent as CEO at Riot Games Later This Year

Riot Games announced Thursday that  A. Dylan Jadeja will take over as CEO of the League of Legends and Valorant maker later this year, replacing outgoing CEO Nicolo Laurent—who has been in the role since 2017 and joined the company in a leadership role in 2009.

Jadeja joined Riot in 2011 as chief financial officer and was promoted to an additional role as chief operating officer in 2014. When Riot Co-Founders Brandon Beck and Marc Merrill moved to co-chair roles in 2017, Jadeja was once again promoted to the role of president.

In an open letter to the community Laurent said that he was leaving the company after more than 14 years to spend more time with his family.

“I can imagine this news may feel sudden, but transparently, it’s a decision that’s been on my mind for a while. I’ve been fortunate enough to have a long and amazing journey with Riot. I joined the company when we were a 40-person startup in 2009, with the goal of bringing League of Legends to players around the world. And that journey has brought me here, serving all of you, as Riot’s CEO. It’s a story I’m very proud of, but if I’m being completely honest, it’s also been tough.”
