XSET Co-Founder Clinton Sparks Leaves the Company

The Esports Advocate has learned that XSET Co-Founder Clinton Sparks has stepped down from his role as chief business development officer and left the LA-based esports and gaming lifestyle company.

Multiple sources with knowledge of the situation who asked not to be identified told TEA Thursday that Sparks is no longer with the company, but the reason for his exit and if it was amicable are unknown as of this writing.

It is unclear if Sparks is still connected with XSET in some capacity, such as an advisory role, though it’s obvious that he still has a considerable stake in the company as a co-owner and co-founder.

TEA reached out to Sparks and leadership at XSET for more details on his departure. On Friday morning, an XSET representative confirmed that Sparks had left the company.

Sparks joins a number of other high-profile executives that are no longer with the company such as XSET Chief Experience Officer and Co-Owner Rob Martin, XSET Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer Marco Mereu, XSET Head of Social Nate Schanker, and XSET Design Director Zachary Azzara. Mereu, Azzara, and Schanker started a brand new esports organization in December called M80.
