In conjunction with the final Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Major in Paris (which began May 8, and runs until May 21), tournament organizer BLAST announced Tuesday the launch of the “Away From Keyboard” campaign in partnership with global healthcare company Novo Nordisk.
Financial terms of this partnership were not disclosed.
BLAST said in a release that the campaign is designed to help “promote a healthy and balanced lifestyle in esports and gaming.”
“Away From Keyboard” will use ambassadors, global broadcasts, in-arena activations, and a documentary series featuring “the biggest names in esports” sharing their personal journeys in obtaining a more balanced lifestyle—including how they unplug and relax when they aren’t competing. Paris Major broadcast analyst Jacob “Pimp” Winneche stars in the first episode.
The BLAST Paris Major is currently being held in Paris, France, and features the top 24 teams competing for a part of a $1.25M USD total prize pool. This will be the very last official CS:GO tournament… ever—after this, teams will compete in Counter-Strike 2.
