Mumbai-based real estate developer Raiaskaran has partnered with Indian esports organization Orangutan Gaming for the remainder of 2023, notes an AFK Gaming report.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. This marks the first time that a real estate company in India has signed a partnership deal with an esports organization in the country.
Under the terms of the deal, Raiaskaran’s logo and branding will be displayed prominently on Orangutan Gaming jerseys, and content and events from the organization will feature “powered by Raiaskaran” branding. The partnership will also include marketing and social media campaigns, and in-person events, according to UNI.
Orangutan Gaming currently fields rosters in Free Fire, Battlegrounds Mobile India, Valorant, and Pokémon Unite. Two of those games—Free Fire and BGMI—have been banned in India, though rumors of the latter’s return are spread almost on a daily basis on social media and streaming platforms.
