The Esports Advocate has learned that JD Healy has joined Naples, Florida-based staffing and recruiting company Mitchell Martin as its new national sales manager.  A rep. from LeagueSpot told TEA that he quietly left the company at the end of 2021.

Healy served for more than three years at LeagueSpot as its chief operating officer & chief revenue officer. Prior to joining the company in 2018, Healy worked in traditional sports at such companies as The NFHS Network, Proview Networks, and ESP New Mexico—where he served as the company’s CEO.

The exit from LeagueSpot was an amicable one, according to what Healy told TEA on Monday afternoon.

“I remain a huge supporter of LeagueSpot,” Healy said. “I really think they offer a structure that really benefits folks who want to either create their own programs or grow their existing programs.”

LeagueSpot runs a white label esports platform operation in the United States that works at the enterprise level with non-profits, charities, schools, colleges, and even local governments to provide the tools needed for organizations to set up and deploy esports tournaments.

Editor’s note: This story, its headline, and sub-headline were updated to reflect that Healy’s departure from LeagueSpot  (a fact we were not aware of) actually took place in 2021. We apologize to our readers and all involved for the misccomunication.
