UK-based tournament organizer BLAST announced Tuesday that it has partnered esports equipment brand ZOWIE.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The BenQ-owned brand will supply its new XL2566K esports monitors as the main display set-up for all stages of the upcoming Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Paris Major 2023.
ZOWIE joins other sponsors such as esports book unikrn, and Pernod Ricard-owned brands Absolut Vodka, Ballantine’s Scotch whisky, and Jameson Irish Whiskey, among others.
The BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 takes place May 5 – 9, and will serve as the last official Valve-sanctioned CS:GO event. Next season the entire circuit will move over toe Counter-Strike 2, which is set for a tentative release sometime this summer.
The event, which will be held before a live audience, will take place at the Accor Arena in Paris, and will feature a total prize pool of $1.25M USD. It will also be broadcast in more than 100 territories and 23 languages on YouTube, Twitch, and other platforms run by participating partners.
