Karl Jacobs Joins Misfits Gaming Group as an Owner, Creative Director

Misfits Gaming Group announced Thursday that Karl Jacobs has joined the organization as an owner and creative director. Jacobs is best known for being an affiliate content creator for YouTube juggernaut MrBeast.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

In his new role, Jacobs will lead content creation efforts under the Misfits label as a creative executive across all current and future Misfits channels.

Also joining Misfits as a content creator and EP is popular content creator AustinShow. AustinShow will work with Misfits to relaunch production of “Name Your Price,” (formerly on the now defunct G4 TV), as well as “develop additional content projects and series.”

These additions are part of Misfit’s continued transformation as an entertainment-focused operation. They also follow similar moves by content creators joining existing esports organizations in creative executive and ownership roles such as Ninja who joined Complexity Gaming recently, and Disguised Toast, who joined Moist Esports as an owner.
