Collegiate Sports Management Group (CSMG) announced Thursday that McDonald’s will serve as the “presenting sponsor and official quick service restaurant” for the Collegiate Esports Commissioner’s Cup (CECC) Texas.

Financial terms of the partnership were not disclosed.

CECC Texas will take place at Esports Stadium Arlington in Arlington, Texas, from May 5-7, and serves as the finals for the collegiate esports circuit. CECC features  64 of the top teams from “multiple conferences and associations” competing in such games as Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Overwatch 2, Rocket League, and Valorant.

Under the terms of this partnership McDonald’s will spearhead promotions and giveaways through the McDonald’s App for both new and existing users. McDonald’s will also be sending a Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) team to compete at CECC Texas. In addition to branding and signage at the event, all competitors will wear McDonald’s branded jerseys during the tournament as well.

The partnership is being facilitated locally with the help of McDonald’s of North Texas, “a co-operative of local business owners who own and operate more than 350 McDonald’s restaurants in the Greater Dallas-Fort Worth area,” according to a release.

Tickets for the event are available here.
