Hong Kong-based esports organization Talon Esports announced Monday a new deal with South Korea-based streaming platform AfreecaTV. Financial terms and length of the new partnership were not disclosed.
Under the terms of this new deal, Talon Esports will work with the peer-to-peer streaming platform to provide Valorant-related content to AfreecaTV users in Thailand. Talon is the only Thai-related, professional Valorant team in Riot Game’s Valorant Championship Tour (VCT) International League.
The company said in a release Monday that it will be producing content for the platform including “exclusive watch parties and community events exclusively on AfreecaTV throughout the entire VCT season, beginning with the VCT LOCK//IN event in Brazil.”
AfreecaTV’s service operates in South Korea, Thailand, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Vietnam, North America, and other regions throughout the world.
Talon Esports fields teams in multiple esports ecosystems including League of Legends, Valorant, Dota 2, Arena of Valor, Rainbow Six Siege, TEKKEN 7, and Street Fighter V.
Its current partners and sponsors include Paris-Saint Germain F.C., SteelSeries, Secretlab, Twitch, Yesports, Logitech G, G-BEAT, Carnival, Nanoleaf, and Chef Cares.
