ESL Dota 2 Major Invades Berlin in April

Tournament organizer ESL FACEIT Group announced Tuesday that the next ESL One Dota 2 Major “powered by Intel” will be held in Berlin, from April 26 – May 7.

The Berlin Major will serve as the conclusion of the DPC Spring Tour 2022-2023 and will feature a total prize pool of $500K USD, with 18 of the top qualifying Dota 2 teams from Eastern Europe, Western Europe, North America, South America, Southeast Asia, and China. Participating teams will also be able to earn points for The International 12 (TI 12) at the end of the year.

The final three days of the Major will take place inside Berlin’s Velodrom in-door arena, which is capable of seating around 12,000 fans, depending on the configuration of the event.

The ESL One Berlin Major begins April 26 with the Group Stage (best-of-2 round-robin format) with two groups of nine teams competing in a studio environment. The top six teams from each group will advance to a double-elimination Playoff Stage which takes place in front of a live audience at Velodrom in Berlin from May 5 – 7, 2023.

The entire event will be broadcast through ESL’s Dota 2 Twitch and YouTube channels and through its dedicated broadcast partners. Tickets will go on sale Wednesday (Feb. 8) at 3pm CET.
