Tournament organizer ESL FACEIT Group (EFG) and esports data company Bayes Esports announced Tuesday a new two-year, strategic match data partnership. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Under the terms of this new deal Bayes Esports becomes “the exclusive match data provider” for leagues, tournaments, and events in the EFG ecosystem including ESL Pro Tour Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) competitions, ESL Impact and FACEIT Collegiate CS:GO Tournaments, and all of EFG’s Dota 2-related operations.
The new deal is a renewal and expansion of previous partnerships between the two companies. Both companies will also establish a “dedicated team to innovate and transform in the space of data driven content creation” with EFG gaining more access to the existing product portfolio of Bayes Esports, according to a release.
Bayes Esports has been busy over the last week; the Berlin-based company signed a deal with esports data firm DATA.BET, announced an undisclosed amount of funding from Clayton Lacrombe’s PAC Capital (who was also named as its new chairman of the board, replacing BITKRAFT’s Jens Hilgers) in a A4 funding round, and the appointment of Marco Blume as a strategic advisor.
