Riot Games has promoted Leo Lin to the role of president of global mobile growth. Prior to this promotion, Lin served as the company’s vice president and head of China for nearly six years. He will report directly to Riot CEO Nicolo Laurent and will keep his position as Riot Games China director.
Prior to that, Lin worked at Riot and Tencent’s joint venture for esports, TJ Sports, as a co-CEO and as a board director. Lin also led the company in establishing the Global R&D Center in Shanghai’s Jing’An District in July of 2021— the first of such facilities outside of North America (Riot has a similar facility at its Los Angeles headquarters.
Lin previously worked for travel site TripAdvisor as chief operations officer for China, as a strategic advisor for global management consulting firm McKinsey, and at Procter & Gamble handling brand management for the company’s Crest toothpaste brand, among other products.
