Publicly-traded esports organization FaZe Holdings (Nasdaq: FaZe) announced Monday that long-time Chief of Staff Rana Kaplan has been promoted to the role of general manager. Kaplan spent nearly five years in her previous role. She joined the company in early 2018 from Walt Disney Television where she served in several contracted roles. Prior to that she worked at Universal Music Group, EMI Music Group, Capitol Music Group, and Warner Music Group’s Elektra Records.
Other key executive appointments include Summer Martin, who has been hired as VP of content operations; Stash Slionski, who has been appointed to the role of executive producer; Vera Salamone, who has been promoted to VP of talent from her previous role as director of talent; Brooke Grant, who has been appointed head of Web3; Laura Ryk, who has been appointed head of creative operations; and Kelli Serden, who has been named VP of human resources.
The promotions were first reported by Variety.
Many of these promotions are meant to shore up initiatives in new areas such as Web3 and production in traditional entertainment sectors as the company maps out its plans beyond what it has typically engaged in in the past such as viral marketing for major brands, content creation aimed at short-form video and streaming platforms, and competitive esports.
