Esports industry marketing and business development veteran Donald Boyce announced on Wednesday that he has joined Berlin-based esports organization G2 Esports as its new head of business development and sales. Boyce joins G2 from North American esports organization Cloud9, where he spent more than three years serving SVP of sales, marketing, and partnerships; and VP of partnerships. Boyce will work out of G2’s offices in Los Angeles.
Boyce is a seasoned esports marketing and partnerships veteran; he joined Team Liquid in late-2013 as project manager, eventually being promoted to the role of director of marketing and partnerships. He left Team Liquid in 2015 to join New York-based advertising services firm TBWA\Chiat\Day, where spent a year as a data strategist. In 2016 he returned to the esports industry, joining TSM as VP of partnerships, where he spent the next three years in that role before joining Cloud9 in 2019.
