London-based esports firm ELO Agency announced Wednesday that industry veteran Jan Hoffmann has joined the company as its new vice president of operations. Hoffman joins the company from Nigma Galaxy, where he served as head of operations for more than two years.
Over the years he has served in a number of roles including team operations lead at Fnatic, CEO of UK-based Rix.GG, director of X1 Entertainment, an account manager at Esports Agency, a professional player for MOUZ (formerly mousesports) and Playing Ducks e.V.
Hoffmann joins company founders including former Fnatic and GIANTX CEO Wouter Sleijffers, and former FACEIT and ESL esports events executives Roald Van Buuren and Jan Moerland.
“I am really happy to be a part of the ELO team,” said Hoffman. “There are not many people in the industry with the amount of experience that Roald, Wouter and Jan bring to the table. I am very excited to get to work with them on exciting projects and be part of esports’ growth.”
Launched in April, ELO Agency aims to help game developers, esports teams, sports clubs, and other companies interested in the competitive gaming landscape with event management solutions that “streamline the complex process of esports events planning and execution.”
